Airport: 1 local terminal and 1 internation,stupid design,u will c for urself:P

Tranport
Cab Transport:never tried from the airport to town itself,because I always go by coach which puts me right in the middle of town.

However,it should be 120 to 150 ringgit,as it was the price that i paid from hotel to airport,i paid 130 ringgit,as I have told you,it felt much longer even though its on the expressway,even though we were sitting comfortably and chatting.

Train Transport from the KL airport

KLIA Ekspres,

i felt it was rapid and smooth despite the 2.5 weeks of luggage that I was carrying on my backpack.

Step 1: Take KLIA from airport to Sentral – One way ticket RM35 per person.

At the basement of the airport,take the evalator to the lowest level–B3?.Buy tickets from somewhere in the middle of the platforms before boarding,

The non-stop journey between KL Sentral and KLIA takes only 28 minutes. KLIA Ekspres departs from both terminals every 15 minutes, on the hour and every quarter of an hour, seven days a week. KLIA Ekspres air-conditioned carriages are equipped with comfortable contoured seats, a washroom, overhead racks for light luggage and tiered racks for large luggage. see pic in facebook,you do not need to register in facebook to see it.

Bukit Bintang or KLCC area

Sentral is a bit confusing,you need to ask for directions as they are a bit confusing,not everything is within sight,like behind the walls etc.Bus,cabs,trains are all centralised in Sentra so…you get what i meant:P

Step 2a: Take Monorail from Sentral to Bukit Bintang – One way ticket RM 2.10 per person.

Step 2b: Take KELANA JAYA LINE (Formerly known as PUTRA Line) from Sentral to KLCC – One way ticket RM 1.60 per person

For street food affairs:
Jalan Alor is the place to be.CHEAP+GOOD!!!!The best stall is the Mickey Mouse stall as it has a logo of Mickey Mouse,the signboard looks like this,it is the nearest to the carpark,there r many backpacker’s place that u can check out,PLEASE TRY the ugly looking,burnt looking chicken wings,its superly nice.

* Zouk is over-rated,Jungle(more latin) and Aloha(more locals),which beside each other, are more causal.No dress code for Aloha.

Night Bazar at Bukit Binting(chinatown of KL)

* Bargain like crazy as there r 101 stalls selling the same thing.
* It will look like there is nice foodstall but seriously the only nice and authentic stall left is the Beef noodles soup which is hidden at a corner.Tried some..overly priced compared to Jalan Alor,some r too spicy,can just try it out if u want,wide variety,u will be spoilt for choice.

OTHERS

* the KTV/karoke (called RedBox) which is at level 5/6 of Pavillion cost only 18ringgit during the afternoon.

* movies at Pavillion is 12 ringgit,good quality.Gold class is 50 ringgit.

* Lot 10,Sungei Wang for cheap shopping.

* the sketch of road beside Berjaya Time Square has nice street food,good chicken rice,Berjaya times square has a hidden amusement park

* Places like Sunway Lagoon, Batu Caves, Fireflies tour.. etc.

* If u want to walk on the bridge that in the middle of the Twin Towers,do it EARLY,been there donkey times but it seems like they have a daily quota,I have tried going there at 1030 am ,but it has reached its quota limit so I suggest that you go to Trader’s Hotel 33 floor for some drinks,cocktail form 30 ringgit,nicer ones 50 ringgit.worth the trip up in the day!

* nice afternoon cafes at the ground floor of Pavillion.GOT BEER!!
* Never took cab to commute within city area,I done everything by foot! Its possible,from KLCC to Bukit Bintang to Times Square.
* the last time when i was there june 09,took my malaysian friends car to travel,DAMN SERIOUS traffic jam.NEVER TAKE CAB within city area,no really worth it and NEVER DURING PEAK hours….1 hour to arrive at a place of 15 min walk

Cheap lodging

* everywhere!! acutally no pre-booking is need if u r willing to do a bit of hunting when you get there.

took the attic,very nostagic but the bathroom and toilets are at groundfloor

* Great place,my cousin and I actually walked back from Zouk to number 8 at 3am to 5 am,after clubbing twice,the 2 hour journey was prolonged due to club hopping.

* The area around Number 8 has nice and cheap food,its rather a 15 min (women’s speed)walk from Berjaya Times Square,if u take the backlane which is across Berjaya Timesquare.

* Stayed in Swiss Garden KL twice,not bad!
* my latest expensive indulgence is KL trader’s club:P

PS: most of the facebook pics r from my gf’s,she might have locked the pics,so just let me know,I have lonely planet southeast asia(but its 2001 edition,i bought it for S$1)All these r not done under any reference of lonely planet.:P personal comments/preference.
